This year we attended Southampton Boat Show and saw some innovative designs.
What especially caught out attention was the story of how during the Winter of 2024/25, a health-retired emergency service volunteer and former Team GB Powerlifter will sail unassisted 3000-miles across the Atlantic Ocean in a tiny 17ft recycled ‘dinghy with a lid’.
This exciting adventure is in aid of four charities, using only the wind in his sails and solar energy for an electric motor.
We were lucky enough to meet Skipper J-K Habbershaw and hear his awe-inspiring story.
